VEG PIZZA..
Preparation: 5 mins.
Cooking: 10 1/2 mins.
Makes 2 Pizzas.
Ingredients
- `2 ready-made pizza bases
- 100-150 gm mozzarella pr pizza cheese - grated (1-1 1/2 cup)
- 1/2 onion & 1/2 yellow or 1/2 green capsicum - cut into 1/1"squares a few olives, 1 tomato - cut into 8 pieces
- 2 tbsp corn kernels or 3-4 baby corns - cut into thin long slices.
- 1 tbsp oil, 1 tsp garlic paste
- 1/2 cup ready-made tomato puree
- 2 tbsp tomato ketchup, 1 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper
- For tomato spread, put all ingredients of the tomato spread in a bowl and microwave for 2 1/2 minutes.Spread on each pizza base, leaving the edges.
- Arrange some vegetables.sprinkle some salt and pepper. Sprinkle cheese and some oregano.Arrange a few vegetables on the top rack.
- Put pizza in the oven preheated at 250 degree Celsius & bake for 8 minutes.Alternately,you can use the grill mode also.First brush bottom of pizza base with oil and grill with bottom side up on the greased fry pan placed on a high rack for 3 minutes till crisp.Put tomato spread and then topping.Grill again for 4 minutes.
CHILLY CHICKEN PIZZA..
Preparation: 10 mins.
Cooking: 11 mins.
Makes 2 Pizza
Ingredients
- 2 ready-made pizza bases
- 150 gm pizza cheese - grated
- MARINATE FOR 30 MINUTES
- 1 boneless chicken breast (150 gm)-cut into 1/a" pieces
- 1 tsp red chili paste
- 1/2 onion and 1/2 capsicum _chopped
- 1 tsp so-ya sauce,1 tsp vinegar
- 1/2 tsp each-salt and pepper,1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp cornflour,1 tbsp oil,4 flakes garlic-chopped
- 1/2 cup ready made tomato puree
- 3 tbsp tomato ketchup
- In a dish marinate chicken with all ingredients for 1/2 hour or even more.
- cover chicken.microwave for 3 minutes.
- To assemble,place pizza on a wire rack or greased pan.Sprinkle some cheese.Spread chili chicken.Sprinkle the remaining cheese.
- Put pizza in the over preheated at 250 degree Celsius and bake for 8 minutes or till the base gets crisp and the cheese melts. alternately brush the bottom of the pizza base with oil and place with bottom side up on the greased pan placed on a high rack. grill for 3 minutes till crisp.put topping on the other side and grill again for 4 minutes.
CHICKEN SANDWICHES
Preparation: 5 mins.
Cooking: 8 1/2 mins.
Makes 6
- 1 chicken breast with bones
- 1 tbsp oil
- 6 bread slices
- 1 tbsp butter - to spread on bread
- 1/2 onion - cut into very thin slices and separated
- 1/2 tomato - chopped
- 5-6 tbsp ready-made mayonnaise
- 1/2 tsp pepper, 3/4 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp mustard
- 1-2 lettuce or cabbage leaves - shredded
METHOD
- Put chicken and oil in a micro proof dish. Mix well and microwave covered for 2 1/2 mins. Let it cool. Shred chicken into tiny pieces. Discard bones.
- In a bowl mix together chicken, onion, tomato, mayonnaise, salt, pepper, oregano and mustard. Add cabbage or lettuce leaves. Check seasonings.
- Spread the chicken mixture on the buttered side of the bread slice. Top with another slice, keeping the buttered side outside. Put sandwich on the high rack. Grill for 4 mins. Turn side and grill for 2 mins till both sides are crisp and golden.
